Mental Health Wellness

We offer a staff-secure Mental Health Wellness Recovery Program for up to eight adolescent males, ages (12 to 17) with serious and persistent mental illness and/or behavioral disorders who are at risk for repeated psychiatric hospitalization, or who have completed at least one psychiatric hospitalization and are in need of an intensive treatment program before returning to their permanent residences.

Our residents have disorders including anxiety, depression, bi-polar disorder, OCD, ADD, RAD, history of fire setting, assault, schizophrenia, self-harm, suicidal/homicidal ideation and other serious mental illness. We provide each youth and his family or guardian with education about mental illness, trauma, improved family functioning and skills for coping with serious behavioral challenges and disabilities, with the goal of improved executive functioning and success upon discharge.

We have a high percentage of clients who are reunited with their family. We may also occasionally help transfer youth to a specialized foster care setting or a more appropriate therapeutic placement.
